There is no need for special occasions to get you gifts! How sweet to have a boyfriend like that.
I was just craving for something rich like a cake or similar and he actually bought me the truffle chocolates from Awfully Chocolate! They taste heavenly; rich and smooth with a subtle taste of sweetness. Just the thing  I needed (:

YOU CAN SKIP THIS HUGE CHUNK OF WORDS; Its about my childhood.
1609 have always been a very special 4D number. Haha. It's the day I was born! 21 years just passed in a blink of eye.
I still remember the time when I was staying with my grandparents everyday at the 200+ in Yishun; void decks catching, long walks home with my then favourite male friend and our grandmum, chicken pox with sissy, scary stalking on our way back from market shopping, before bedtime stretching with aunt and the huge living room I always play in.
Then primary school came, i had my other grandma taking care of us at my old apartment, followed by a maid later; Aunty Angeline, I always 'blame' her for the very fat me now. Daily afternoon party with soft drinks, chips and her oldies CD. Sometimes we will even close all windows to play blackjacks with our 10 and 20cents. It was a huge sum to us then when pocket money was only $1 a day.
Primary school wasn't only all fun, there was homework every single day and spellings every week. I dreaded them but still, I do really well under the supervision of my parents. Haha. Daddy will come over to the study room, hold our hands and guide us with our penmanship stroke by strokes while Mummy tests our spellings and multiplication tables. We never had a day when our dictation/spelling was less than full marks. I miss those days; my results are horrible now.
I was the naughtiest child at home during that period. I would lie, lie and lie. I was made to kneel with the ruler held high up through the night (of course, mummy wouldnt bear to make me do that all night; i went to bed after awhile but it was still tiring), I was 'kicked' out of home in my pjs, my mum even hid my school bag and said she threw it away because i lied that i had supplementary but went out to play instead. Huge headache I was, eventually my mum had to threaten to send me to the girl's home when i didnt stop lying. It was in primary 5 when i stopped totally after that scary girl's home talk. Hahaha.
Entering secondary school, i wouldn't stop wanting to grow up, grow older so that i can have more freedom. Now that I'm finally 21, I don't wanna grow old anymore. It's true, everything (almost) that adults speak of; when you are young, you wanna grow up, when you are old, you miss childhood. In the end, many of us just wasted our youth trying to be adults..
I miss childhood a lot because of the innocents in it, you will feel that there is nothing wrong with the world and wonder why adults get so paranoid with everything. And yes, now i hate the fact that im no longer that girl whose biggest headache is probably the lack of tv timings and having to study..
Nonetheless, I'm still trying to love my life now even with the many horrible things going on.

Enough about the past, now peektures for my birthday celebration! (:

Marina Bay Sands (Family & Love)

Ed booked a room for me at Marina Bay Sands. It's our 3rd time there and i'm still so fascinated by the place. The hotel rooms are huge, well decorated and facilitated with gorgeous view. We once had a suite with a living & bedroom view of the city and a bathroom view of the Gardens By the Bay. The Gardens wasn't operating then so we just bath with the curtains opened. Haha. I don't think there is a need to talk about the infinity pool anymore with the all raves around; but it sure is worth the good reviews. One last thing is the Breakfast at Sky on 57; it is the best breakfast i ever had. Other than the buffet that is filled with mouthwatering dishes such as sauted mushrooms, smoked salmon, crispy bacons, varieties of bread, cheese, cereals and fruits, they have another ala carte menu that is inclusive in the buffet breakfast. The menu ranges from laksa, ramen to a variety of egg dishes. Boyfriend's fav is the organic eggs. Eggs poached to excellence with a thin slice of ham (I think, its been awhile). Best eggs we ever had.

This time, we just went ahead with a deluxe room. It was large enough to accommodate the 14 of us; I know its not really right to have that much people, but i want my family to all experience the luxurious hotel once, so..
Although it was a very simple celebration with my most important people. I enjoyed it very much, relaxed and hassle free. As you can see, even my birthday cake is hassle free(at least for me)- homemade; made by the boyfriend! Carrot cake thats not too sweet with cream cheese coating. Yummy.

Meet up with some of the team for late night supper at Swee Choon, followed by a heart to heart talk at Seletar Reservoir. Although everyone is tired, we stayed till around 3am talking non stop; from business plans to personal lives. A group of people whom I will never run out of things to talk to even after not meeting for years. Thank you all for making the time out, and special thanks to the driver. Haha. Drove us all around Singapore that day.
